About Us
Founded by Carson Fackler, a longtime Sierra Nevada resident and graduate of Universal Accounting’s Professional Bookkeeper Program, Giant Sequoia Bookkeeping is based in Camp Nelson, California and serves contractors and service-based businesses throughout the surrounding mountain communities and across the region.
We specialize in bookkeeping for many industries: contractor and service based professions, Airbnbs, hospitality industries, food and restaurants, grocery marketplaces, small business creatives, and more. Our services include monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, equipment and vehicle expense tracking, accounts receivable and payable management, and catch-up or clean-up work for disorganized books. While tax preparation services are not currently offered, expansion into tax services is planned in the near future.
Originally from Bakersfield, Carson has lived and worked in Yosemite and throughout the Sierra Nevada for over 11 years. Having worked in service-based and hands-on industries himself, he understands the operational realities of running equipment, managing irregular revenue, balancing job-based income, payroll, and preparing for a stress free tax season. Giant Sequoia Bookkeeping was built on the same principles that define the Sierra — long-term stability, resilience, and disciplined growth.
Our mission is simple: help mountain based contractors, service operators, and small businesses who are exceptional at their trade gain clarity and confidence in their financial systems. Many operational businesses struggle not because they lack skill, but because their books don’t reflect the way they actually run their business. Giant Sequoia Bookkeeping exists to bring structure, accuracy, and tax-ready confidence to the numbers behind the work.
